There is an irony in the name Franz Oberhauser. Franz, the half-brother of Bond, is the one who stays in the ‘other house’, the Oberhaus, the house other than Skyfall.
Growing up, what did Bond have for breakfast?
Do we have a definitive scene of James Bond eating? He has ordered for Caviar. He has carried Foie Gras in a suitcase. But even when he says his Lamb was ‘skewered‘ in “Casino Royale”, we do not really see him eat that Lamb.
A Short Story, “007 in New York” reveals that James Bond has his own recipe for Scrambled Eggs!
“For Four Individualists:
Break 12 fresh eggs into a bowl. Beat thoroughly with a fork and season well. In a small copper (or a heavy bottomed) saucepan melt four oz. of butter. When melted, put in the eggs and cook over a very low heat, whisking continuously with a small egg whisk.
While the eggs are slightly more moist than you would wish for eating, remove the pan from the heat, add the rest of the butter and continue whisking for half a minute, adding finely chopped chives or fine herbs. Serve on hot buttered toast in individual copper dishes (for appearance only) with pink champagne (Taittinger) and low music.”
In American Home Products, (1986) 1 SCC 465 the Trade Mark, “Pussy Galore” was discussed. It was said, “Pussy Galore was a character featuring in Ian Fleming’s novel ‘Goldfinger’, being a female with somewhat unorthodox morals and a name which would appear to be an obscene pun in very questionable taste”.
